Mother’s Day: Hallmark Edition
It wouldn’t be Mother’s Day weekend without trying to capture every heartfelt moment in a keepsake photo, and I’m happy to show you how this year’s results were as stunning as ever.
So many treasured images to choose from, it’s nearly impossible to know which one I’ll frame. Please enjoy a few of the 302 pictures I took this weekend, each and every one a touching memory of motherhood and grandparenting.
AINSLEY: I’m the sweetest and prettiest princess ever!
ALSO AINSLEY TWO SECONDS AFTER THIS PICTURE WAS TAKEN: Dada won the crown in the Pretty Princess game, so I’m going to throw ALL the jewelry AND take his game piece AND hide it in my bed AND throw a BIG fit AND nobody gets to play today because I. WANT. THE. CROWN.
LANDON: I get Dada to myself while my sister is in her room flipping out over plastic jewelry. Yay me!
MOTHER NATURE: Hold on because you’re about to experience the craziest rain in 4EVA!
JUSTIN: You could waterboard someone with what’s coming out of my gutters.
AINSLEY FROM HER ROOM ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE HOUSE: I want the crown!!!! I want the crown!!!!
AINSLEY: I love my new princess dress and shoes. I’m sorry, I freaked out yesterday, and my head almost spun around and popped off my shoulders.
ME: We forgive you. You’re four, you’re still figuring it out. No worries. But speaking of heads, why does it look like MY head was photoshopped onto my body? Are you seeing that too? Maybe because my makeup is TOTALLY the wrong color?
PRESENT ME: It’s Mother’s Day! I’m going to eat whatever I want. Bring on that buffet!
FUTURE ME: Why is my butt so fat?
LANDON: No one’s paying attention, so I’ll just help myself to some bacon.
The family. What an awesome weekend!
