A Semi-Recent Thing I Do Not Enjoy
A semi-recent thing that I do not enjoy is how my legs have taken on an entirely different look, and not in a good way.
I’ve bitched here about my legs before, but…I don’t know…something has happened in the past few months that makes me think they really hate me now and have decided: F*ck it, we don’t care what we look like, and no matter how much you walk, squat, and bike ride, we’re going to continue to look like shit. Yes, lady, you are now stuck with crepey skin around your knees, leathery skin on your thighs, and skin all over that droops. No more collagen and elasticity on YOUR legs. You are now the proud owner of partially deflated, flabby leg skin with weird new bulges.
Holy hell! WTAF!!
I’m working on acceptance. I occasionally talk to a therapist (about more important things than saggy leg skin) and listen to enthusiastic, soul-bolstering podcasts. I sit on a yoga mat once or twice a week and think about how much I love my body because, seriously, what are the alternatives? Living in bitter hatred of my legs every single day until I am DEAD?
When you think about it that way, it seems ridiculous to spend even one more second of my remaining life grumbling about how my thighs have collapsed and hang over the sides of my knees like a tragic little flesh-apron. And don’t even get me started on my chest area - an entirely different heavy-ass disaster that requires a gigantic bra in a ridiculous size and even more ridiculous price.
It’s foolish, right? With everything else going on in the world, it’s foolish to spend so much energy on something so..VAIN. It feels absurd to care at all, never mind caring so much that sometimes it feels like that’s all I can think about.

PRODUCTS WE LOVE FOR AGING SKIN
Amazon sent me a bottle of this in error and boy am I glad they did! I loved it so much I’ve ordered it three more times.
Is it going to permanently fix crepey, leathery skin? No. Will it improve its appearance so you feel better about showing some skin in the summer? Absolutely yes.
This is good stuff. Use it with realistic expectations, and you’ll be happy!
It’ll moisturize your skin, make it look less leathery, and minimize the crepey-ness. It’s an all-around great lotion for aging skin.
Olay products never disappoint, and this one is no exception. It hydrates, moisturizes, and makes your skin appear firmer.
You're not going to look the same as you did in your twenties, but you will say, “Hey, that looks better!”
