Cheers!! One Year Later: Still Writing, Laughing, and Learning Not To Give a D*mn

In my almost 60-ish years, I’ve started thousands of things that I never followed through with. Some of you might recall unfinished sewing projects, trying to crochet, participating in a walking group, playing pickleball, and even a brief foray into bodybuilding, believe it or not. (Epic fail, by the way. What was I thinking?! I liked cookies and bacon way too much for that to work.)

I could go on, but…

Then there is this blog. I’m a little over a year in, and still sticking with it. I figure I need a way to exercise my brain in old age and get my excitement out over things such as my latest Goodwill find (a beautiful terra cotta succulent vase for $3.99 – can’t beat that!), along with a place to bitch about the horrors of aging and the annoying things my husband does. Oh, and it’s also an occasional outlet to mention my adorable grandchildren, who are really just the cutest, sweetest little people ever.

What else does one need in life?

So, cheers to another year of blogging. Thank you for reading. I’m a slow learner, but I think I’m getting better at this. Hopefully, I will continue to keep you entertained a few days a week, and maybe in the coming months - now that I know the ropes - I’ll grow it from tens of readers each day to…dare I say…hundreds?

Cheers! Here’s to another year of blogging stories!

I can’t remember what I was drinking there, but it looks yummy, alcohol-y, and chocolately.
