The Truth About Sh*t: Some of it Matters, Most of it Doesn’t
Some sh* matters, like your health and your loved ones.
A lot of sh*t doesn’t matter, like a typo in a text, being cut off in traffic, or a slow barista holding up your coffee order.
We all have sh*t we think matters, until we realize that it doesn’t - stuff like stressing about a mistake, panicking about being late, or worrying about what someone else thinks of your outfit or home.
And then there is the sh*t that sneaks up on you, the stuff that seemed small at first but carries more weight as time goes on, like neglecting your sleep or saying yes to things you don’t want to do and regretting it later.
As you get older, you start to see the difference between the various types of sh*t. You waste less energy on the dumb sh*t, pay more attention to the sh*t that matters, let go of unnecessary sh*t, and focus on the sh*t that moves the needle toward peace and joy.
In the end, it’s not about caring less — it’s about caring better.
And that’s smart sh*t.
