Welcome To My Blog
Hey there, and welcome!
I’m Danielle—wife, mom, grandmother, creative spirit, and lifelong work-in-progress.
For most of my life, I’ve been figuring out who I am and what I actually like. I used to envy people who had a clear life plan—I never had one. For a long time, that bugged me. But now? I realize not having a set path gave me freedom to explore, take detours, and stumble into some pretty great adventures I wouldn’t trade for anything.
So, what have I done with my life so far? Let’s see... I attended business school, worked in insurance, got married, had a son, returned to school, explored the medical field, and proudly earned the title of full-time basketball/baseball/soccer mom. Eventually, I became an empty nester and (surprise!) discovered I’m an artist at heart. These days, I make earrings inspired by the places I’ve been and the stories I carry. Creativity, for me, is like oxygen—I can’t live without it.
I’ve been married to Big Bill (my very tall husband) for over 30 years. We live in a fun, active community, though most nights you’ll find me happily parked on the couch with a good movie. My fashion sense is questionable (black is my neutral, theme, and safety blanket), and I’m not allowed to drive if we’re going somewhere important. I love treasure hunting at thrift stores, baking things I shouldn’t eat, and dancing like no one’s watching, which is for the best.
Why start a blog now? Because I promised myself I would try new things (even when they terrify me), and because I believe there’s beauty in everyday life—even the messy, awkward, and unexpected parts. Also, I like to write. Am I eloquent? Not always. Is my proofreading spotty? Definitely! But my New Year's resolution was to try hard things, and let me tell you—hitting “Publish” on this blog definitely qualifies.
So here we are. I hope to make you laugh, think, and remind you that life doesn’t have to be perfectly planned to be absolutely worth it.
Cheers, friends. Let’s get this party started.
